Virtual Chocolate Tasting Class

Summer started, and I managed to sprain another ankle, while my 12yo managed to sprain his own wrist. Camps had to be canceled and life was looking pretty boring, so I figured I'd entertain us with this class. My expectations weren't crazy high or anything, so it wasn't a disappointment, but I also didn't come out thinking 'oh wow, what an amazing experience'. I mostly did it for the chocolate ;-) hahah, and I figured my son would learn something new, and he did!!! The teacher was pretty good, although sometimes seemed more preoccupied with his phone than the class. Overall - I would mostly recommend it for the chocolate, haha, and also as a bit of a different thing to do if you're bored. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it or anything. We picked the vegan box so as to make sure to avoid milk chocolate, since I'm 100% a dark chocolate gal.

My employer invited staff to participate in a virtual tasting class, and we each received a large box of chocolates. Kassie, our host, was so energetic and entertaining. She got everyone engaged and answered all of our questions. Couldn't recommend this more as a morale-boosting activity.

When our company signed up for the Virtual Chocolate Tasting Class (80 strong!), we had no idea how incredible it was going to be. Our instructor, Kassie, was simply amazing. The chocolate was delicious, and Kassie’s presentation was informative and super entertaining. We all had so much fun communicating with each other in the Chat. As one staff member said afterwards, it may have been the best event we have ever had, virtual or otherwise. Thank you, Theo, for making such delectable chocolate and for Kassie; such a stellar representative of your company!

I received for my birthday present a Virtual Tasting Class and it was exceptional! LOVED every minute of the chocolate tasting and history lesson too! Fabulous!

One of the best date nights my husband and I have had in the pandemic!! We were impressed by the amount of knowledge we learned in this class. The the instructor was incredibly talented to get a group of strangers, of all age groups, across the world to be engaged together and have fun. This was incredibly enjoyable and we are recommending it to everyone.

I had taken a tour along with tasting at the Theo factory in Fremont many years ago. Since we live on the east coast, it was great to experience a little slice of the Pacific Northwest from the comfort of our own home. This virtual tasting was super informative and very enjoyable, from the delicious chocolate to the excellent guide. We were gifted the virtual tour and we are so glad we were! Wonderful experience.

I loved this class! Honestly, I think it was more fun because it was done in the host's home rather than the Theo studio. I think people (especially the kids!) felt freer to comment about what they tasted. And I really enjoyed everyone showing off their pets! And would encourage you to consider continuing with both options: more formal studio classes, and more relaxed home-based classes. Also, I was given the standard kit, but if had a choice, I would have chosen the vegan. Could there be an "after class" discount for ordering the two different bars? We loved participating in the virtual tasting, learning about how chocolate is made, why Theo is different, and most importantly, how to eat dark chocolate correctly! Also, the person who led our class did a phenomenal job!
