Chocolate is sensitive to heat, so we take great care when shipping our products.

General Ordering Guidelines

Shipping

Orders placed by 2pm PT will ship the next business day unless the quantity of items ordered requires additional time to prepare or we have special holiday ordering deadlines. If you are ordering for a holiday, please refer to the Holiday Ordering Deadlines above. Most orders are shipped out Monday-Friday. During warmer months, orders will ship out Monday-Thursday to ensure the quality of your order isn’t compromised by the heat. In the event that we cannot ship your order as expected, we will get in touch with you.

Shipping Method Options:

If ground shipping isn’t available at check-out, this is because the temperatures in transit or at your destination could compromise the quality of our products if we don’t expedite delivery. Please refer to the one- and two-business day shipping methods below for more information on when your package should arrive.

ONE BUSINESS DAY SERVICE*:

Please note, we do NOT do same day shipping.

Orders placed by 2pm PT require 1 business day for processing and will be shipped the following day, so please allow 2 full business days from the time an order is placed for your product to arrive.

TWO BUSINESS DAY SERVICE*:

Please note, we do NOT do same day shipping.

Orders placed by 2pm PT require 1 business day for processing and will be shipped the following day, so please allow 3 full business days from the time an order is placed for your product to arrive.

*Hawaii Customers: When shipping to Hawaii, please add 1 extra business day to the guidelines above.

Unattended Packages

If no one is available to receive your order upon arrival at its final destination, our carriers will leave it at the door. If this could pose a problem, we recommend shipping to an address where someone can sign for and receive your package. Theo is not responsible for damage or theft incurred after delivery.

Promotional Shipping

Orders taking advantage of shipping promotions may take up to 3-5 business days to process. Please see promotion for delivery expectations.

Temperature Shipping Restrictions

Chocolate starts to melt at 70 degrees F. When the ship-to destination has the potential to be in the 70’s or higher, your options for shipping will be limited to ensure the integrity of your chocolate. We are also unable to ship on Fridays during warmer months to ensure product isn’t left sitting in a shipping facility over the weekend. Please keep this in mind when placing an order during warmer months.

70 DEGREES AND ABOVE:

When temperatures have reached 70 degrees F or higher at the ship-to destination, your options for shipping will be limited to 1 or 2 day service.

90 DEGREES AND ABOVE:

When temperatures have reached 90 degrees F or higher at the ship-to destination, your option will be restricted to 1 day service.

Large Quantities

Some of our products require a lead time when ordered in larger quantities. 5 or more of the same gift collection require a 3 business day lead time for order processing. On occasion, larger confection or specialty item orders will require an additional lead time not otherwise listed on the product pages. If there is a delay, our team will reach out to you right way to assist you with planning for the arrival of your order.

Returns

We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item you purchased has a quality defect that is not the result of the product having been left unattended upon arrival. If you receive a defective item, please contact us at (206) 632-5100, 9am-5pm PST with details of the product and quality concern.

PO & APO Boxes

Our carriers cannot ship to PO or APO boxes, so please make sure to use a valid street address when placing your order.

International

Unfortunately, Theo does not ship internationally at this time.
