While our organic, fair trade 70% dark chocolate already tends to have flavor notes of licorice root, to truly recreate the magic of licorice, we use a blend of star anise oil and licorice root extract. Then, for our signature, we add a touch of sea salt to top it all off.

At last! Licorice chocolate!

I am so grateful that Theo has introduced a salty licorice chocolate. I had been batch buying from Iceland but am so pleased to have a local quality product. Please keep this one in production!

This is my second favorite--I'd give it 4+ stars. The licorice is just enough of a tart-salty addition. Really good!!

I don't love licorice, but I do love fennel, so I thought I'd give this a try -nope. But I think that's just me.

This combination isn't for everyone, but those who like the soothing taste of black licorice and bittersweet dark chocolate will be pleasantly surprised that they go so well together. This is undoubtedly my favorite Theo offering because no one else offers anything like it.

Growing up I enjoyed black licorice and this is a perfect combo! I wish it wasn't seasonal but I'm enjoying every little bit I can while it lasts! My husband doesn't like black licorice but even he likes this one!!

Oh, my goodness! If you like dark chocolate, and black licorice, you MUST try this!! I found it to be sooooo good, that I immediately had to ship some to a favorite cousin. His response: "Good Gawd woman what have you done?! I will need a supply of this for the rest of my life!"
