I loved the taste of the chocolate and how fluffy the chocolate marshmallow inside was!
Not sure what about the description enticed my husband to want to throw this into our order since he's nowhere near the chocolate junkie that I am. He took the first bite and said it was good but waaaay to rich to consume entirely in one sitting. I too felt it was too rich and just wasn't a fave. Somehow though as we continued to nibble on the pie over the next day or two, it totally grew on me. Not only do I not find it quite as rich anymore but I now wish he had ordered a second one. Before better reading the description I started describing it as having a brownie/fudgy type texture to it but I now see that it was likely the marshmallow that I hadn't picked up on that was giving me that vibe. All in all it's one we would definitely buy again.
Great texture, great crunch, wonderful pick-me-up without being too sugary! Intense enough I nibble it slowly :-)
I was a bit skeptical at first, but the wrapper was too enticing for me not to at least try what was inside. I was expecting something akin to a Moon Pie, but Theo is a chocolate company, so I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised by the chocolate nougatty filling hidden under the rich chocolate shell. If you love chocolate and want to change it up a bit I highly recommend treating yourself to this.
The best pie ever. If you like the original marshmallow pie this is definitely similar just more to it and not as fluffy.
This purchase was a gift sent to Florida The chocolate was delicious! The Lunar Pie is one of our favorites! The shipping was reasonably priced and super quick! Theo is our chocolate!
